Founder, team principal and driver Mark Kvamme brings a wealth of experience, having previously led the factory KTM supercross team for five successful seasons. In the driver’s seat, Mark has competed in elite events including the Porsche Sprint Challenge and multiple classes of sports car racing within IMSA and USAC, bringing home championship trophies in one Lamborghini Super Trofeo season and two Porsche Carrera Cup seasons. He is also a multi-season participant in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Megan Kvamme, co-owner and CEO of MDK Motorsports alongside her husband Mark, is blazing trails in the traditionally male-dominated racing industry. She drives transformative change and fosters inclusion through increased engagement for women partners and drivers, advocating for diverse drivers to advance in their racing endeavors. Megan also supports research to better understand and combat brain injuries in motorsports, in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
Former Formula 1 driver, multiple Le Mans winner, and “Formula 1 Dad” Jan Magnussen plays a pivotal role in MDK Motorsports as an advisor, mentor, and coach for driver development in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America and Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama.
Magnussen’s stunning international career includes a record setting 14 wins from 18 races en route to the 1994 British Formula 3 championship; runner-up in the 1995 ITC championship for DTM cars; stints in both Formula 1 and IndyCar; four victories at Le Mans, four IMSA championship wins, and victory in the 24 Hours of Daytona. His track record as a coach is equally impressive – Magnussen guided his son Kevin to Formula 1, while his youngest son, Luca, has shown promise with a successful karting career.
Magnussen first joined forces with Mark Kvamme when the pair drove alongside Kevin in the 2022 Gulf 12 Hour at Abu Dhabi, and Jan competed for MDK in the 2023 Daytona 24-hour. He also oversaw MDK’s “Lady’s Combine” driver development test in December last year. Over the past three seasons, Magnussen has also competed in races in Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia.

Collaborating with the United States Auto Club (USAC), Porsche Motorsport North America and the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health’s Professional Athletes Brain Health Study to enhance understanding and mitigate the impact of brain injuries in motorsports.
